A fine field for the Dynastar X3 Courchevel 2016: the winners of the 2015 edition, Laetitia Roux and Yoann Sert, will be at the start alongside many other well-known athletes!

Success will once again be there for this 2016 edition of the mountain-version triathlon “Dynastar X3 Courchevel”, organised by the association “Courchevel Sports Alpinisme” on Sunday 17 April, with more than 600 participants at the start.
To complete this extraordinary triathlon, triathletes will have to link together, solo or in a relay team of three, a 13.9 km cycling leg (930 m of elevation gain) up to Courchevel 1850, where the base camp for changing disciplines will be set up, a 6.3 km trail running leg (180 m of elevation gain and loss) and a 4.8 km ski mountaineering leg (950 m of elevation gain) up to the finish, where a Hawaiian atmosphere will await the runners with the presentation of flower garlands.
This unprecedented concept will allow the best specialists to fight for victory and amateurs to discover an exceptional setting, starting from the lowest point of the Courchevel resort at Le Carrey (830 m) and finishing at the highest point on the Saulire (2,710 m).
After winning the 2015 edition of the “Dynastar X3 Courchevel”, the five-time ski mountaineering world champion Laetitia Roux and Yoann Sert will be the challengers at the Dynastar X3 Courchevel 2016.
Holder this season of the records of the Millet Ski Touring Courchevel and the Plum KV Courchevel, and recent winner of the legendary “Pierra Menta”, the four-time ski mountaineering world champion Mathéo Jacquemoud will be there after winning this race as a team in 2014. The 2013 French trail running champion, Stéphanie Duc, winner of the 2013 edition, will come to contest the top places on the podium. Cédric Fleureton (third last year), European triathlon vice-champion (2005-2006) and French trail running champion in 2014 and 2015, will come to fight for first place, this time equipped with top-notch “kit” for the ski mountaineering leg.
Also to watch: Nicolas Raybaud, a “Specialized” cyclosportive rider and Haute Route ambassador, Corail Bugnard, winner of the 2015 “Saintélyon”, Germain Grangier, 3rd in the 2015 “OCC”, and Nicolas Lebrun (X3 winner in 2013), the 2005 Xterra world champion and 2013 French champion. With 8 world champion titles, 6 European champion titles and 10 French champion titles in ski mountaineering, Florent Perrier, 2nd last year, will also play for the win.
Jean-Christophe Bette, the most decorated rower in French rowing, with a gold medal at the Sydney Olympic Games and five world champion titles to his name, as well as Jérémy Pouge, rowing world champion in 2004 and 2005, will also be among the favourites after a fine switch to the world of trail running. As will Laurent Brochard, the 1997 road cycling world champion, who will try to make the top 10.
On the team side, the women’s team that won in 2015, made up of Candice, Léna and Lorna Bonnel, will be at the start again, along with the formidable mixed team of the Juillaguet family with Swann, Robin and Catherine. Also to watch in the men’s teams: the “Faut pas jouer” team, made up of ski mountaineering world champion William Bon Mardion, cyclist Alexandre Vionnet and trail runner Jean-Marc Joguet, and the “CSA / GMC 38” team with Mickael Gallego, 2015 team winner, Jean Baptiste Curtet and William Perrier. The 1998 Skyrunning world champion, Corinne Favre, 3rd last year in “solo”, will this time take part in a trio with Céline Désurmont and Elise Favre of the “Les BB Brunes” team.
Registration for this new edition of the “Dynastar X3 Courchevel 2016” will close on Sunday 10 April at midnight.
