About our school:

Our cycling club is finally opening its doors… to children!! From this spring 2024, we will be welcoming children aged 5 to 16. Our aim is to introduce them to mountain biking and its various disciplines, to build their independence and progress on a bike, but above all to make them go crazy… for two wheels!

Supervision and registration:

Our school is affiliated to the FFC and each pupil must therefore hold a current-year FFC licence (procedure available online, club membership fee €15).

Sessions will be run by state-qualified instructors and will take place every Wednesday, starting from Le Praz, on the esplanade in front of the Alpinium, or from Bozel, in the car park on rue du lac, opposite the lake. (Schedule to follow)

Lessons will take place in May, June and September, with the last session on 1 October. A 4-day course will also be offered during the summer.

The groups:

- The mini riders (ages 5-6)

The aim will be to master the basics so as to ride safely: setting off, braking, pedalling, changing gear, and acquiring the right reflexes to share the road, along with a few notions of mechanics.

Sessions will last 1 hour, from 2 pm to 3 pm.

Price: €120 for the season (licence/membership fee and club jersey included)

- The kids riders (poussins and pupilles, ages 7-10)

The aim for these children will be to learn riding techniques and the idea of physical training. Knowing your bike is just as important, and the mechanics get a little more demanding.

Sessions will last 2 hours.
The poussins (ages 7-8) from 10 am to 12 noon.
The pupilles (ages 9-10) from 3.15 pm to 5.15 pm.

Price: €150 for the season (licence/membership fee and club jersey included)

- The riders (benjamins, minimes and cadets, ages 11-16)

For our teenagers, we pick up speed and work on improving.

Sessions will last 2 hours.
The benjamins (ages 11-12) from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm
The minimes (ages 13-14) from 9.30 am to 11.30 am
The cadets (ages 15-16) from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm

Price: €150 for the season (licence/membership fee and club jersey included)

All children must have a bike (with brakes in good condition), a helmet and gloves!

They must also bring a water container (backpack or bottle holder) and a small snack. Kids riders and riders must also bring a spare inner tube.

Please note: each session is part of an overall progression. Regular attendance and participation are expected!

We are doing everything we can to get this children’s club off to the best possible start. After the first session, and depending on how registrations develop, we reserve the right to change our time slots. A detailed schedule will be sent out during April.
