This race is called “EMPEIRIA TRAIL”, from the ancient Greek “empeiria” meaning experience.
An experience, a challenge that will let you share an exceptional human and sporting adventure in the heart of a magnificent setting! The experience of a stage race linking the high mountains to the sea, “all inclusive”!
EMPEIRIA TRAIL is a stage trail running event over 8 days of racing, crossing the whole of the Southern Alps between Courchevel and the Côte d’Azur.
- The route features 7 distinctive bivouacs along a continuous track from Courchevel to the Côte d’Azur.
>The stages will be around 50 km and 3,000 m of elevation gain for the 6 intermediate stages.
- The first and last stages are shorter, at around 25 km.
