Round 2 of the Millet Ski Touring Courchevel for Perrin Frédéric and Jacquelin Noémie!

This second round of the 2018 Millet Ski Touring Courchevel (MSTC), originally scheduled for Wednesday 3 January, had to be postponed to Friday 5 January because of the storm. Good weather was back on Friday and the 109 ski mountaineers entered were able to enjoy excellent conditions, with the snow-groomer grooming just before the race to refine the course of this 3.2 km vertical race with 500 m of elevation gain between Le Praz and Courchevel 1850.
In total 12 rounds will be run this winter before the great fancy-dress final and the Emile et Images concert that will close this 8th season in style, i.e. 13 events in which to try to claim the 2018 record for the specialists, with €8,000 of prize money and €4,800 of vouchers to be won. To reward the most regular, ESF Courchevel Village has set up the “Arrête toi si tu peux!” (Stop if you can!) Challenge. Competitors who have accumulated 3, 6, 9 and 12 races will be entered into a prize draw according to the number of participations, with the chance to win pairs of "Dynastar" skis, "Plum" bindings and "Millet" equipment.
As usual, there were distinguished guests, with great champions present. Jean-Christophe Bette, a loyal supporter of the event with 2 European champion titles, 5 world champion titles and an Olympic gold medal at the Sydney Games in rowing, finished just off the podium in 27min27s. Racing drivers François Perrodo and Matthieu Vaxiviere , 2016 world champions in the GTE Am category in a Ferrari, finished in 44min16s and 49min49s respectively.
