ROUND 15 - DYNAFIT SKI TOURING COURCHEVEL - 16 March 2011

Victory for Frédéric Thérisod and Stéphanie Duc.

Raindrops did not frighten the competitors in this new edition of the Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel. After a very fast start, Frédéric Thérisod of the Courchevel Sports Alpinisme club very quickly caught up with and overtook Nicolas Mater of the same club, who had set off a few minutes before him, on the first steep section of the course. At the finish Frédéric won for the second time on this climb in 27min25s ahead of Nicolas Mater in 30min03s and Pierre Minary in 31min01s. Among the women, Stéphanie Duc won this ski mountaineering race for the third time in 32min54s ahead of Catherine Minary, who finished in 37min58s, and Cécile Duc in 40min32s.

From next Wednesday, the race for the record should resume with the participation of the discipline’s best, who are currently at the Pierra Menta. So do not hesitate to come and cheer on all these athletes and to register for this 3.2 km climb with 500 metres of elevation gain, where atmosphere and conviviality remain the watchwords of the organisation.
