The meeting of the volunteers of the “Courchevel Sports Alpinisme” association to organise the 2014 / 2015 events took place this Saturday 15 November. The official kit was given by the 3 new partners Millet, Plum and Dynastar to the 26 volunteers who will be present this year at the three events put on by the association throughout the year.

Ski touring enthusiasts will once again be able to show their mettle at the MILLET SKI TOURING COURCHEVEL, held every Wednesday from 10 December to 25 March, except Wednesdays 24 and 31 December, which will be replaced by Thursdays 25 December and 1 January, on a Vertical Race course of 3.2 km and 500 m of elevation gain.

Cycling, trail running and ski mountaineering fans can take up the challenge of the year in the DYNASTAR X3 COURCHEVEL Mountain Triathlon on 19 April, starting from the lowest point of the resort at Le Carrey and finishing at the highest point on the Saulire, linking the 3 disciplines in “Solo” or “Trio”.

A new Vertical Kilometre race (1,000 m of elevation gain / 5 km) will be offered in ski mountaineering and trail running with the PLUM KV COURCHEVEL during the winter and summer seasons.

PLUM KV COURCHEVEL climb postponed from Saturday 22 November to Sunday 30 November

The first round of the PLUM KV COURCHEVEL in ski mountaineering will be held on Sunday 30 November instead of the originally planned 22 November, because of the lack of snow on the course. This competition will be organised 4 times in winter in ski mountaineering (30 November, 2 January, 20 February and 20 March) and 4 times in summer in trail running (10 and 24 July / 7 and 21 August) on the same course.

The French ski mountaineering team will be present on Sunday 30 November for the launch of the PLUM KV COURCHEVEL, and for the occasion the official inauguration of this new permanent Vertical Kilometre course will be performed by the mayor, Philippe Mugnier, who will then take part in the race, starting at the front. A buffet organised by the municipality will be offered to all participants at La Croisette during the prize-giving.

Programme for Sunday 30 November:
- 9.50 am: Inauguration of the permanent course
- Start for “Amateurs / Challengers”(**): 10 am and for “Specialists”(*): 11 am
- Registration: 9 am to 10.30 am
- Buffet and prize-giving at La Croisette around 12.30 pm

(*) Estimated climbing time under one hour (**) Estimated climbing time over one hour
