ROUND 1 - DYNAFIT SKI TOURING COURCHEVEL - 12 December 2012

Corinne Favre and Mathéo Jacquemoud open the 3rd season of the Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel.

After the heavy snowfalls of recent days, the competitors entered in this first ski mountaineering climb of the season were able to enjoy a lovely evening with good-quality snow. Every Wednesday until 27 March, the best specialists of the discipline can come and fight for the season record or fine-tune their training on this 3.2 km course with 500 m of elevation gain linking Le Praz to Courchevel 1850. As for all the ski mountaineering amateurs, they will have 16 opportunities to ski in an exceptional setting, by headlamp.

This Wednesday, 42 skiers will be able to remember that on 12/12/12 they took part in the opening of this 3rd season of the Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel.

And Mathéo Jacquemoud of Team Ecrin and a member of the French ski mountaineering team will be able to say that on that day he set the first reference time, winning the event in 23min38s ahead of another member of the French team, Didier Blanc of CAF Morzine in 24min53s, and Yoann Sert of the Club Multi-Sports d’Arêches Beaufort in 26min59s.

Among the girls, it was Corinne Favre of Team Ecrin who opened the ball in 29min56s ahead of Marion Losappio of the club Vertical Tignes in 33min50s and Gaëlle Martin of CAF Exellence in 36min10s.

A successful start for the organisers of the association “Courchevel Sports Alpinisme”, who invite you to meet next Wednesday in the company of the famous sports journalist Nelson Monfort , who will come to interview the winners at the prize-giving.
