Julie Mottier and Olivier Chacornac take the leading roles in the 8th Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel.
The series of the Dynafit Ski Touring Courchevel (DSTC), broadcast every Wednesday evening in Courchevel, keeps pushing up the ratings. Since 12 December, no fewer than 378 different actors have taken part in the success of this series. While the script may seem simple, a ski mountaineering climb as fast as possible at night over a 3.2 km course with 500 metres of elevation gain, from Le Praz to Courchevel 1850, the 55 extras selected for this 8th episode once again played their roles to perfection. Philippe Mugnier, deputy mayor, continues to build the suspense by improving his time as the shoots go on, finishing this time in 43min54s. Laurent Setiey, director of the estate agency “Vallat Immobilier”, showed that without training he could make it to the end in 41min17s, and to prove that ski mountaineering is a discipline within everyone’s reach, we had recruited Armando Pires , originally from Brazil, who had never tried this sport before and who finished in 55min34s with a smile!
In the lead roles, we find top of the bill Olivier Chacornac of the CSA 13th Alpine Chasseurs Battalion, who won in 26min55s ahead of 2 members of the Arêches-Beaufort Multisport Club, Léo Rochaix in 27min13s and Grégory Nanfermoz in 27min44s. Among the actresses, Julie Mottier of CAF Aravis took the leading role in 33min58s ahead of Anne-Marie Henrion of CAF Albertville in 36min29s and Florence Grand of CAF Aix-Les-Bains in 40min36s.
The next episode of the DSTC will be shot on Saturday 2 February on the occasion of the Vertical Race event of the French ski mountaineering championships, which will take place on the same course. A unique opportunity in the season for all those who cannot get free on Wednesday evenings to be part of the DSTC ranking, and also to appear in a national ranking featuring the French elite of the discipline. The next day, Sunday 3 February, the “Sprint” event will take place in the heart of the resort on the Courchevel 1850 snow front. So that this weekend is a celebration of ski mountaineering, atmosphere and conviviality will be the order of the day, and the producers have decided that everyone, whatever their level and nationality, will be accepted in the cast, so register quickly…
