The snow cover is beginning to thin considerably as the Wednesdays go by on the Millet Ski Touring Courchevel route. Thanks to the motivation of the volunteers of the organising association "Courchevel Sports Alpinisme" and the Courchevel sports department, who regularly maintain the course and add snow to the worst-affected places, the 77 participants were able to enjoy covering the 3.2 km and 500 m of elevation gain in good conditions. The preparation of the course, helped by the few snowflakes that fell the previous night, allowed most of the competitors who had already taken part in this race since the start of the season to improve their times.

Alain Bellagamba of team Ecrins Hautes Alpes gave his opponents no chance, winning this time trial hands down in 25min45s with more than a minute in hand over Thomas Angélis of SCA Haute Corse, who finished in 26min55s. Grégory Nantermoz of ESF Arêches took third place in 27min02s.

With a time of 33min52s, Véronique Lathuraz took another victory and the new provisional women’s record of this new season, until then held by Laurie Renoton in 34min16s. Géraldine Bau came second just two seconds behind (33min54s) and Corine Chauchaix of ESF Arêches took third place in 34min58s.

In the French Ski Schools (ESF) challenge, it was ESF Arêches that stood out this time, with Grégory Nantermoz and Corine Chauchaix stepping onto the top step of the podium.

Sébastien Figliolini, 1998 Pierra Menta winner and director of the partner shop "Le Camp de Base", finished this Vertical Race in 28min26s.

Aged 8, Antonin Blanc of the Courchevel cross-country ski club was the youngest participant of this 5th stage and finished in 56min41s under the delighted eyes of his mother Stéphanie Pommat, who accompanied him during the climb.

Guillaume Prin, president of "Courchevel Sports Alpinisme", started with Marco Dippolito from Brazil, who was delighted to discover this discipline by night.
