XXL PERFORMANCES AT THE TOP OF THE SKI JUMP

Courchevel was once again the setting for an extraordinary sporting challenge. For this 5th edition of Red Bull 400, the athletes pushed their limits on the steepest 400 metres in the world. Among the men, Julien Petitfrère won in 3'30, demonstrating impressive power - despite having started trail running only a year ago - ahead of Etienne Loisel (3'33) and Baptiste Ellmenreich (3'35). On the women’s side, Marine Coquard fought hard to win the final in 4'49, taking the victory in this demanding format ahead of Maelle Beauvoir (4'56) and Aurélie Aventurier (5'13). In the relay category, Team Grand Peron dominated the mixed relay with a time of 2'40, thanks to perfectly executed handovers. Just behind, Team No Rain No Rice came 2nd in the standings (2'42), closely followed by Team Les 4 Mousquetons (2'44).

A SELECTIVE… AND FULL RACE FORMAT

Red Bull 400 2025 was sold out with 1,300 participants from 23 different nationalities. The climb of the Courchevel Olympic ski jump took place in several elimination stages, guaranteeing a high level in the final.

The semi-finals: the first big cuts

. Men : the 10 winners of each heat and the next 65 best times qualified for the semi-finals, a total of 225 athletes.
. Women : the first 10 of the heats and the 50 best remaining times went through to the semi-finals, making 90 athletes.

The finals: the ultimate climb for the best

The semi-finals then separated the best athletes to make up the start grid for the two big finals (men and women), bringing together a total of 90 finalists.

. Men: 45 finalists. 5 semi-finals were held. The top 3 of each semi-final qualified automatically (15 athletes), completed by the 30 best remaining times across all semi-finals (excluding the top 3 already qualified).
. Women: 45 finalists. 2 semi-finals took place. The top 5 of each race got their direct ticket (10 athletes), and the next 35 best times completed the list of finalists (excluding the top 5 already qualified).

This system, combining qualification by place and by time, ensures that the fastest reach the final, whatever their heat. A demanding mechanism, designed to bring out the most explosive… and the most consistent profiles.

ACTIVITIES TO LIVE THE RED BULL 400 EXPERIENCE IN 360°

This 5th edition was not limited to competition: participants could enjoy a village buzzing throughout the day. yoga sessions to warm up or recover, talks on nutrition, a Cross Training challenge to try to win a pair of Merrell shoes, or even osteopaths on hand for runners exhausted by the infernal slope.

Our partners Opel and Elsève also hosted immersive stands, bringing a touch of fun and discovery to the event, in a festive atmosphere carried by a crowd that is always there.
